The countdown is on for the grand Cadence Lypso Show carded for Newtown Savannah on Saturday October 20, 2012, from 8:30 pm. As part of activities leading up to the show, the National Export Council Secretariat (NECS) in partnership with the NCCU Cadence Lypso Inc, is sponsoring a panel discussion on Cadence Lypso at the UWI Centre on Thursday, October 11 from The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Alwin Bully and the panelists are Michelle Henderson, Gregory Rabess, Mark Marie, Cornell Phillip, “Prince Wadix” and Derek “Rah” Peter. Cadence pioneer, Gordon Henderson, will weigh in on the discussion from his base in Cadence Lypso lovers and the general public are invited to attend and participate in what is expected to be an exciting discussion where strategies will emerge for sustaining and developing this much-loved music genre which is unique to Dominica. |
