In the early hours of Saturday, 25th February 2017, after five (5) rounds of intense competition, the crowd at the Miss Dominica Carnival Queen Pageant for 2017 was satisfied with the judges results, as Miss NCCU Ltd - Jade "The Gem" Romain was crowned QUEEN for 2017. Capturing awards for Best in Costume, Best Swimwear, Best in Swimwear and Best Evening Wear, Miss Romain shone over six other competitors on her way to the throne; making all her family, friends and supporters extremely proud of her achievements.
